Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers, Live from Las Vegas

The Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS) Fair 2011 is represented by over 500 vendors and suppliers.

The Woodcraft Adventures Blog is here at the Las Vegas Convention Center to cover as much information as we can for your woodworking world. Thousands of woodworking professionals from around the world are gathered here for networking, education, innovation, and a little bit of fun!

Woodcraft is also on hand with an exhibitor booth, showing off the expertise of Rob Cosman, Your Hand Tool Coach, Scott Phillips of The American Woodshop, and Tommy MacDonald of Rough Cut.

I caught up with Rob during this first day of the show, and he told me about a fantastic new website with his online hand tool workshop that you may subscribe to at www.handtoolworkshop.com. To begin with, Rob explains this workshop in a video and invites you into his woodshop where, once you have subscribed, you may watch, learn, and build with Rob’s expertise via this web program.

These workshops feature:

- Hand tool exclusive furniture making

- Two half hour episodes per week available on demand

- On demand technique tutorials from Rob’s DVD series

- Members Only online forum with questions & answers

- FAQ’s answered and/or demonstrated each week in a bonus session

- Downloadable project plans

- Special “Members Only” sponsor discounts

The monthly membership fee is only $19.95, but can be purchased at a yearly discounted rate of $199.95. You won’t be disappointed in this thorough online workshop, because Rob is clear, concise, entertaining, and very knowledgeable at what he does. If you have attended his dovetail and sharpening classes at a Woodcraft store or have seen himin action at a woodworking show, then you know what a fine woodworker Rob is. If you have never had the opportunity to learn from Rob’s experience, NOW is your chance by taking advantage of his new workshops.
