Woodcraft Invites Entries for Gold Rush Sweepstakes


The Gold Rush Sweepstakes grand prize includes these Powermatic products: air cleaner, planer, jointer, lathe, drill press, bandsaw, dust collector and table saw.

A $15,000 tool and training package awaits the winner of the Gold Rush Sweepstakes sponsored by Woodcraft, Powermatic, and Woodcraft Magazine. Three second and 50 third prizes will also be awarded. Complete sweepstakes rules are available at Woodcraft retail stores and online at www.Woodcraft.com/GoldRush. Entries will be accepted from August 1 through midnight September 30.

Grand Prize includes eight Powermatic products: PM1200 Air Cleaner, PM1300TX-CK Turbo Cone Dust Collector, 54A Jointer with Quick Set Knives, 14″ Bandsaw, PM2800B Drill Press, 15″ HH Planer, PM2000 10″ Table Saw with 50″ ACCU Fence, and 3520B Lathe. In addition, a representative of Walter Meier, the Powermatic parent company, will instruct the winner in the proper setup, maintenance and operation of the machines. The training session will be held at the Woodcraft store nearest to the winner’s home.

So, when you consider one lucky entrant will be given a complete shop full of Powermatic machines, winning this sweepstakes is any woodworker’s dream come true.”

Three entrants will each win a $250 Woodcraft Gift Card and a two-year Woodcraft Magazine subscription – the second prize. Fifty entrants will each receive a one-year subscription to Woodcraft Magazine – the third prize.

Participants may enter in one of three ways
1 – At a Woodcraft store

2 – Online at www.Woodcraft.com/GoldRush

3 – By US mail.  Entry forms are available at stores and on the Internet.  To enter by mail, use a 3″ x 5″ card and in black or blue ink handprint your full name, complete home address including zip code, home telephone number with area code, and email address (if available).


Mail the entry card in a first-class stamped envelope to: Gold Rush Sweepstakes, c/o Woodcraft, P.O. Box 1686, Parkersburg, WV 26102-1686. Attention: Lori Milner.

Contest winners will be selected by random drawing on or before October 15 from all eligible entries received by September 30.

    These precision tools would be awesome! I could make REALLY exact cuts, measurements and tight fitting wood projects with these fine tools. (It'd be great not to use "Kentucky windage" to make my boxes anymore with the tools I use now.) Reply

    What a nice gesture to have an opportunity to win a set of cool, quality tools. I've owned the powermatic tool and had good success with it in that it requires little maintenance and a confidence knowing that I own a quality tool.     I love working with wood. These tools work great in my workshop! I love to collect old wood and make furniture out of it. It's my passion! Beautiful Home Built in 1993 1,700 SQ FT in a great location This home has vaulted ceilings, jacuzzi style tub and a two car garage Hardwood floors, Earth-tone paint and bright windows throughout!
