Woodpecker’s Latest One Time Tool is the Angle Gauge which quickly measures bevel angles for chisels, plane irons, turning tools and more.
Super-Tune Your Edge Tools. A well-tuned chisel or hand plane is a joy to use. Getting the cutting edge bevel angle dialed in allows the tool to work effectively with as little effort as possible. And there are times when increasing the bevel angle or micro-bevel angle a couple degrees will tame especially hard or figured woods. But if you can’t accurately measure your bevels altering them is pure guesswork.
Woodpeckers Angle Gauge is Fast and Easy to Use. Accurately measuring both the primary and micro-bevel on chisels and plane irons takes only seconds. Simply place the back of the blade on the Angle Gauge’s base then slide it toward the arm until the arm and bevel match. Read the scale and your done. To measure a micro-bevel, move the blade a bit further until the arm aligns with it and take another reading on the scale.
Measure Angles for Many Edge Tools. The laser-etched degree scale ranges from 15° to 45°, the bevel angle range most all chisels, plane irons and some turning tools are effectively set within. Paring chisels use angles as low as 20°, bench and butt chisels generally use 25° as do block plane irons. The Angle Gauge can just as easily measure steep angles used with low-angle smoothing planes and scraper planes. You can also use it to measure bevels on turning tools like parting tools, flat-bladed skews and beading tools.
Rock Solid Construction. Woodpeckers Angle Gauge is precisely machined from aircraft-grade aluminum on state-of-the-art CNC machines. It’s anodized for protection and the laser-engraved degree scale uses one degree measurement units. We’re proud to tell you all Woodpecker tools are made in our Woodpecker shop just outside Cleveland, Ohio.

Woodpeckers One-Time Tool Program
What are our ONE-TIME TOOLS? They’re the tools that our partners at Woodpeckers plan to run once. Often these are tools we ourselves would like but can’t put in full production. The process is simple; they build a couple, take some pictures and open a 10-20 day window for others to jump on the production run. Once they know how many to make, they get them done and move on to something else.
By buying a One-Time Tool, you will own a limited run precisely machined tool that will make you the envy of all your woodworking friends and you have a tool that will be used for generations. These tools are proudly made in the U.S.A.
