General Woodworking: 8 months, 3 weeks ago · ViewWoodRiver has been a solid choice, and highly recommended source for wood planes. Check them out here…http://www.woodcraft.com/Family/2021170/WoodRiver-V3-Bench-Hand-Planes.aspx. Woodcraft sells these, Rob Cosman uses and endorses them, and I personally know from the Turning Tuesdays Woodworking guys, that they like them as well.

General Woodworking: 8 months, 3 weeks ago · ViewIf you are looking for an inexpensive starter plane, try this…http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2020406/22106/Bench-and-Block-Plane-Set-with-Case.aspx. We also have WoodRiver, and Stanley Planes. I prefer the WoodRiver.

General Woodworking: 8 months, 3 weeks ago · ViewHi, I’m interested in purchasing my first hand plane. I would like to know what my first one should be, such as a brand and what type would be more or less a general purpose plane for me to use. Thank you.
